Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge occupies one of the most dramatic positions in all of Africa — clinging to the outer rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests look directly into the crater floor 600 metres below, where over 30,000 animals live in what has been called 'Africa's Garden of Eden'.
The lodge is built into the crater rim itself, with the architecture cleverly designed so that every room commands an unobstructed view into the caldera. The design features curved stone walls, thatched roofs and enormous picture windows that make the crater your living room. Waking up to mist rising from the crater floor as golden light touches the rim is an experience that stays with guests for a lifetime.
